ASP Charter Members
Founded in Chicago at Plant Science Laboratory Seminar
The 69 members who participated in the “birth” of the ASP at the meeting of the Plant Science Laboratory Seminars (PSLS) held at the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC) in August 1959 assigned ASP Charter Membership to all those members who had joined and paid their membership dues by July 3, 1960 (ASP History, Chapter 1, P. 3, L. 13)1. Table 1 lists the 69 Founding Members. Table 2 lists the rest of the 140 Charter Members, including 7 Associate, 3 Inaugural Honorary Members, and 18 Foreign Members.
