The American Society of Pharmacognosy has a new website. Check it out! None of us will mourn the demise of the oversized green behemoth (a.k.a. The Hulk) that has had us all twisted up in knots for years. Some of the many features of the new platform (a.k.a. The Phoenix) include: A newsletter page with searchable articles posted, members only content, and easier access to information about available funding and upcoming events.
Rebuilding the website was a massive project that took nearly six months from inception to implementation. Amy Henckel of Mythos Media did a tremendous job on design, construction, and leadership of the project. The massive effort to pare down and reorganize pages was spearheaded by Melissa Henckel and Laura Stoll. The newly established ASP Communications Committee (Nadja Cech, Joseph Egan, Melissa Henckel, Maggie Hill, and Laura Stoll) all contributed ideas and design recommendations for the project and devoted countless volunteer hours. We spent a lot of virtual time together. Much of it was, rather unexpectedly, quite fun! We are grateful to the many other members who contributed ideas, enthusiasm, and photographs. Thanks, are also owed to the Executive Committee for their support and to President Robert Cichewicz for spearheading and championing this project. (By the way, in case you’re wondering but are afraid to ask, that’s pronounced Chee-EH-vich. You’re welcome.)
